Blue Ridge Nights

I went on a vacation. We visited the exotic location of Blue Ridge, Georgia. The list of things to do there goes on and on.

1. Float down the river
2.Shop at the biggest store there..Roses. If you dont know what a Roses is you have lucked out.
3. Rock on a porch hours at a time. This is actually easy to do believe it or not.
4. Go to the Drive In.

Thats right there is a working Drive In located in the Blue Ridge. It is the best thing ever. You get two movies for 5.50 cents and the biggest funnel cake you have ever seen for 4.00 dollars. Thats correct two movies under ten dollars.

If anyone is interested in starting one up with me....I'm in. One stipulation, we have to show a classic movie once a month and serve something on a stick.

With that eye patch, I thought you were going to kill bill in the end.

We have two drive-ins near here. I'm totally into creating another one though. We can do old movies all the time. Seriously one of my little dreams in life is to open a little movie house and show all my favorite movies.

That would be amazing. I have never been to a place that shows old movies. I only hear about them in movies. Go figure.

I am so amazingly late with this, but I have a comment anyway.

There was this great old theatre in downtown Abilene that used to show the classics now and again (I say used to but its probably still there, its just that I'm not)

The French seem to love old movies, and most of the cities have theatres that play the classics, and the not so classic. I saw Dawn of the Dead and Return of the Living Dead Part II in one night.

Bloomington (where I am now) has a theatre that plays really old movies, but they always shows in the afternoon while I'm at work. During the summer they also do free outdoor movies and show all kinds of stuff from the new to the very old. Plus they have this weird film series of contemporary art films and older flicks, but they don't actually have a theatre, so they play them at bars, and in university classrooms.

But yes, there are still places that show old flicks. I will too someday.

When you show your old flicks I want to give you your first dollar for the business. Make it happen.

How about you give me $50,000 now and I'll make it happen. I've actually put some thought into the idea.

The plan is to actually settle down somewhere. Then I'll equip the home with a very cool home theatre.

I already have little mini movie festivals periodically where I invite friends over for scary movies (or in the case of one Halloween, scary Simpsons episodes) I also did a little classic calendar theme early this year (we watched movies corresponding to a calendar I have with classic movie posters)

Anyways eventually I'll have more theme parties, and with the super cool system more people will come.

Then I'll sell tickets (illegally at first, but then once it booms I'll actually have to get the movie rights and what-not)

Or I'll actually do something with my life, take out a loan, lease an building and set up a small art theatre.
